so i was wondering if there are any decent programs that any one could recommend that would help me convert and and re size video's for the g1. all the players as you know are in stupid formats. and there only stupid cause none of my video's are in that format.

wondershare video seems to be made especially for G1 and works a treat. videos look and play great

Handbrake works well for converting DVD's. May have to use DVD for Free (search DVD43) to unlock the DVD so it can convert it.

I might as well throw in my pennies worth and get 2 cents back in exchange.

I use Any video converter. That is the link to the free version, it allows batch conversion and to me that is important as I had a lot of AVI's I wanted to re-encode to H264.

I've tried many converters, and found this to work best for my tastes. At the end of the day tastes vary, some will like it and some won't.

Usually I like to use AnyDVD HD paired with Clone DVD....

Another good application to "Rip" DVDs or at least "Crack" the encryption on them is DVD Decrypter which is free and will do a good job in a little amount of time.
