angry birds lite crashing on your phone or not working?

Just for the record, i've tested the game & it works fine on my

Nexus One w/ stock 2.2
Epic 4G, Captivate & Vibrant

DInc, with Froyo 2.2. Not much to say. It loads the pretty splash screen, then dies. No "Forced Close" message, no nothing, just dies.

If you are having problems getting past the splash screen like I was on my dinc tap the screen a bunch when the splash screen appears. Has worked almost every time for me. Once I actually got into the game it ran flawlessly! Can't wait for full version.

Just downloaded Angry Birds. Seemed to run pretty well. happened to get to level 4 so far.

I typed in Angry Birds Lite in the search box and could not find it. The market link did not work too. My phone is LG Optimus GT540, Android OS above 1.6.

That's an awesome piece of advice. I too was getting a close after the splashscreen. The tap trick worked and I got past the screen. However it took me to the twitter page and the app closed. Gonna try again now. Been wanting to try this game.

EDIT: Ah well, immediately after typing this I went back and tried the game and the tap trick didn't work. Keeps closing after the splash screen again and again even though I'm tapping like crazy an the screen.

For the record, I have a tmobile g1 running cm6 - based on froyo 2.2. The app is not available on the market for me and I downloaded and used it from elsewhere.
