Anyone know if the g1 does, or will have the ability to play videos from online websites? I had an iPhone, and I was able to go to different websites such as mobile versions of youtube, collegehumor, break, and others, and watch videos streamed right in the iPhone's mobile player. Are you able to do that on the g1? Also, are you able to download videos in the same manner?

From what I understand, the G1 supports a limited number of video formats as far as what it can play from a website. tinytube.net would be one example. There is also the built in YouTube app, and some video players on the Android Market.

Apparently Adobe is working on a flash plugin and Microsoft is working on a Silverlight plugin..so those will only add to whats available.
