Is there a way to enable or disable wifi without having to go into settings? Perhaps a shortcut I can put on my home screen and just click it for on/off?

Edit: I know Any Cut makes a shortcut to the wifi settings, but is there anything that will directly make the wifi on/off by pushing it on the home screen?

There is now a dedicated wifi on/off app on the market place. Launched yesterday.

I've heard of AnyCut but that seems a bit pointless when you can make shortcuts by just pressing on the desktop and holding down.

anycut gives you access to screens within an application not just to an application. for example you can create a shortcut to the battery screen, you then dont have to go through all the settings screens to get to it.
