Hi, I've developed a Home screen replacement called "Simple Home". My starting point for this launcher was to make a launcher as simple and functional as possible and to avoid the things that annoy people like e.g. draining the battery, making it tedious to find apps, etc.
Features:
- Only one view (the app list) and no re-arranging shortcuts
- Load app list as quickly as possible
- Show which apps that are actively started (running icon)
- Long press menu (uninstall or close actively started apps)
- Filter to narrow down the list of apps (find function)
- After launching apps, apps will be sorted after frecency (frequency + recency) how frequent and how recent the apps are launched.
- Other sorting schemes can be selected
- No eye-candy - simplicity
- Select how to visualize the list (grid or list) and select the number of columns in the grid
What annoys you in the regular/other launchers?
Do you really need widgets? Wallpaper?
Do you use contacts/bookmarks?
Live wallpaper?
How many clicks, swipes, etc do you use to launch app X or app Y?
If you are to use an app which you rarely use, how do find that app?
