I was just checking "Toggle Settings" on the Market to see if it has been updated since I installed it (really would like a setting for 3G in there!) and I notice that Market displays a version number for the application (v1.0.1 in this case).
How can I determine what version I have installed on my handset? I dug around but couldn't find any obvious way of working this out.
It'd also be good if the OS would notify the user when updates were available to Market applications (assuming that it doesn't currently do this), much in the same way that a package manager works under a Linux distribution.
Is there any neat (or preferably automated) way of keeping track of applications installed via Market for updates?
