1. Don't let your friend use your computer.
2. Set up an administrative account on your computer with a password that only YOU know, and allow your friend either a guest account or a restricted user account, and make your administrative account private.

Sorry I have been a tad busy, thankyou for your advise, the problem is that my computer is accessed remotely (he is not in the house when he winds me up) while I am logged on, when working I get other files jump up in front of my work, this is thought to be very funny but I disagree I find it frustrating. What I would like to do is disable his Gmote access but I am a novice to say the least, I have attempted to delete the Gmote server folder but my computer won't let me. My computer is a family computer so access to it is open, I just want to block this jokers ability to wind me up, please help if possible.
Thankyou

It sounds like your friend is using gMote to remote control. Easy solution (from the gMote website at http://www.gmote.org/faq)

Gmote is self contained and doesn't write any settings to the registry. Therefore, to remove the app, all you have to do is:

1. Delete the installation directory (c:\program files\gmoteserver)
2. Click start, programs, startup, right click on "Gmote Server" and hit delete.
3. Click on start, programs, right click on "Gmote Server" and hit delete.

Good luck!

---Edit
Oops, you probably wont be able to delete it while it is running. You can either hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager and then end task on gMote before you try, or if you dont feel comfortable doing that do steps 2 and 3 first...then reboot and you should be able to nuke the installation directory in step 1.
