Anyone aware of a video player for Android? I like to play my own videos on my G1 but no video player.

This is why the guy at the opening show lied and said they had one in the marketplace. Not fair to go lying and fooling people into buying it when they think it will have one. I am sick and tired of people defending the Android program and saying it will come out. Prove it! Like I said before is a lie is still a lie especially when I bet they did it on purpose.

It's there now.

Within 24 hours of official launch.

Ready to get off your high horse yet?

The lack of a video player was a little disappointing, but it really was just a matter of time til one was released - and as kaykordeath points out above, just 24hours from launch day.

Wasn't really a deal breaker IMO.

The only work around to viewing your videos on android due to lack of video player in this first release of G1, is uploading your videos to YouTube and then using the G1 Android's YouTube player to view them. That requires some effort and probably YouTube has limitation on the size of the videos you can upload to YouTube. This route I am suggesting will require access to high speed internet connectivity.

Yep..the video player is there now, in the marketplace and free for the downloading. Now if we can get flash support for the G1...lol.

That's what I'm waiting for...makes it hard to surf a number of sites w/o flash. What's really sad is that I'm still trying to figure out how to browse to wap sites without the phone displaying a lot of code instead of a working site...lol
