Given that Android has an excellent web browser one missing thing is still flash support. I am curious if there will be support for flash? Also hopefully other browsers will be available down the road for choice like Opera and Skyfire. I believe Skyfire supports flash on the server side though not browser.

Flash support would really complete the package. This would make this browser one up from the iPhone rather than on par.

I agree. I've already run into the issue of no flash support trying to watch various videos online. The best offer I've seen is when I get redirected to Adobe/Macroedia's website to download the flash player, with the G1 it offers up a linux/x86 version. I've not touched it yet, not wanting to screw up my new phone.

So what's the word on this yet, any news of a Flash Player being developed yet. A Shockwave Player and .pdf reader are also up on my list of apps needed. All three are made by Adobe; I used the email form on the Adobe site to request/suggest new features. I am hoping that Adobe will realize that there is a need for these apps to be developed for Android and in the near future there will be more and more mobile devices using Android; increasin the demand for development.

Yeah flash would be great to have, knew that it didn't have support out of the box but here's hoping it can be done. It'd give a way to get BBC iplayer working which would be cool.

i have no doubt whatsoever flash will be supported at some point. it hasn't even been 3 full weeks since the phone debuted. adobe will certainly develop something, because it won't be long before there are several phones running android.
