I am a heavy user of Outlook and I have been using a Blackberry Curve to sync the data from contacts, calendar and to do lists. Verizon has told me that the Droid can't sync with outlook. I thought the Droid was an i can not an i can't. Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thank you

Droid 2 has no Outlook sync as of end of November 2009. The email will sync to any POP3 or IMAP account, complete with custom port numbers, SSL options, etc. Email works good (but no signature ability, which stinks). For outlook sync, you have to get software to establish a calendar link. I'm set to sync my outlook calendar with GMail calender every 2 hours. I have Outlook overwrite Gmail. I exported all contacts to a CSV, nearly 1000 contacts, and imported them into Gmail. It took about 5 minutes. I now update the contacts every "now and then." I am hoping someone will develop a direct Droid-Outlook sync, with Bluetooth and autorecognitiion every time the Droid is close to my laptop. Til then, we'red hosed. I also desparately want the ability to have multiple email signatures, with all the Outlook options for different signatures for new, forward, and replies for each email account.

This lack of sync is insanity isn't it?

I really want to upgrade my phone (due upgrade for over 6 months!) no phones I like. Have been using WinMos for over 6 years (SPV/HTC) and whilst I wouldn't say they are amazing, they have the features I need:

It must sync with Outlook! Currently I get my calendar, contacts and notes perfectly (don't use email sync, just collect 'em!) Recently when I got a replacement handset it took all of 2 mins for it to be up to date with calendar, contact etc.

If I were to get an Android phone, I can't even use the Google link (which I would be happy to do) as I regularly use conflicted appointments, so currently I can't sync my Outlook with Google, which would be a solution to the issue.

...roll on WinMo 7....
