Suddenly, problems with Facebook for Android?

My wife and I have been using MyTouch phones from T-Mobile for a couple of months now, and have loved the Facebook app for Android.

However, a few days back, mine stopped posting updates to my Facebook account. When I try, it flashes a quick message, saying,

"Cannot post the status at this time.
Please try again later
[200/The user has not granted the application permission to automatically publish feed stories]"

Any clues?... I haven't changed anything on the App (or, in my Facebook account).

Where does one go to "grant the application permission?"

I've been disappointed with the Facebook app available on Market. I see there is an alternate app. Any thoughts on this? Does Facebook plan an upgrade, so I don't have to open my browser while on my page?

On FB on your computer, go to settings and click on application settings from the drop down menu.

Once in the application settings, there's a box on the right called "show" with a drop down menu. On the drop down menu, go to "allowed to post"

Once in allowed to post, click on "never allowed to post any stories" - this should pull up a few categories.

Click on Edit settings for facebook for android and then additional permissions and check the boxes.

should work now.
