For those looking for a great, simple note taking app, I recommend checking out Master Memo. Not only can you type down notes, but you can record audio notes too! (assuming you have an SD card). Its nothing terribly fancy but there is no limit to the length of recording so it makes it good for recording parts of class lectures or even the mundane things like grocery lists.
A pro version is even coming that will let you take pictures, video and even tag your notes to better organize them.
