Are apps region specific?

I've been looking for an MSN client for my T-mobile G2 (HTC Hero?) and I keep seeing recommendations for eBuddy, but I've searched on the marketplace, and gone through the lists individually, but I can't find it.

Am I being special?

i am in taiwan right now, and i am downloading all the US apps.
imeem, meebo, BofA...apps from the android market are not region specific.

as to asnwer your msn client app, i would suggest using the meebo app.
it is a multi -network app, you can sign on AIM/MSN/Yahoo/Google talk/ICQ whatever.

It could be your Android version. Each Android app has to specify a "minimum phone version", e.g. 2.1 or above. The market application automatically filters out applications that are "above" your phone's version so you don't end up trying to install apps that won't work.

It's a bit frustrating, it would be nicer if they would just grey them out or something. I also had a similar problem and wondered why the app I was searching for wasn't showing up.
