Hello everyone. I am disappointed at the fact that there is so many cool applications available in the android market, but due to the limited memory that the G1 uses we/I am unable to upload all the cool apps. i know the phone has its flaws, but i do hope that there is a developer out there that can resolve a simple issue as to allowing us to save directly to our SD cards. We all know that the more we play with the phone the more flaws we find. I had a smart phone and i am starting to miss it now. I am looking forward to tmobile or google to start sending out updates soon because there is a lot of unsatisfied customers out there including myself. I hope we dont get screw like the people that bought the first iPhone and then apple decided to come out with a better version 6months later.

I've actually found that the phone has plenty of memory for installing apps. The "Low Storage" warning came on way too early for me, but I ignored it and kept installing, and it went away and hasn't come back yet!

I think if you keep installing applications, you'll find that there's a comfy amount of space for you available on it.

But i'm with ya; sdcard storage shouldn't be something you need to root to do. *(but if you really want to, you can get root access and set up symlinks - do some searches)

Installing and running apps off of the SD card is something that Tmobile has been working on. The phone will say "Low on storage" and then it'll go away, first of all, the Android Market takes up A LOT of space, I'm up to 24MB from the market, anyways, when the market's cache memory gets too full and causes your phone to promt that its low on storage, android automatically clears the cache memory fo the market. There is no way of doing it manually but atleast android recognizes that the market's cache memory is outta control.
