I just got my G1 a day ago.
I am having trouble setting up my yahoo mail account on this.
I used pop3 and imap settings and was able to get my yahoo mail accound, I could see my folders and saved messages. The problem is I cannot receive emails. I received a few but then nothing.

Anyone know what I could due??
what imap settings should I enter?

You could also use the browser - either the one that comes installed or the downloadable Dolphin browser (which has pinch and zoom) and keep your yahoo email inbox as a tab. I do that....it's a little more cumbersome, but it works. The problem with this method that I haven't solved yet is how to see my yahoo mail folders.

What I do is use the gmail account as an aggregator. It pulls in emails from 3 different accounts and pushes them to my phone. Gmail has the ability to not only mark what account the email came from, but also reply using that account. In other words, your yahoo mail will be marked with you@yahoo.com (in whatever color you chose) and your replies will look like they come from you@yahoo.com.

I was a little sceptical of doing it this way, but now I am a total convert. Naturally you have to set up a gmail account, but nobody needs to know about it. You can even use the yahoo.com address as the default outgoing server for new emails.

Yes, that's a great solution - I did it for one of my work accounts, and it works perfectly. I wanted to do the same thing for yahoo, but I thought you have to have yahoo plus to be able to forward to other accounts. Is that not the case??If it can be done with a regular yahoo account, I'll definitely do it.

I'm not forwarding the yahoo mail, I'm having gmail go and get it. I do have yahoo plus, though (I'm a big Y! fan) so I'm not sure if there is a POP3 restriction on the free email.

I have gmail pulling my hotmail, yahoo, and AT&T accounts. So far no issues with any of them.

Great - I'll try it. One question: if I import yahoo mail into gmail, will it leave messages on my yahoo account as before? If so, and I could see and reply to yahoo mail either in the gmail aggregator or the regular yahoo site, that would be completely awesome and make my Droid even more perfect than it already is.
