Can i get internet on my laptop from my g1

what im trying to do is connect my g1 to my laptop so i can get internet on the laptop from my g1. i us to do it with my blackberry. can i do the same with the g1?

There was an app released to the Android Market that allowed wifi-tethering for "rooted" handsets but it was recently pulled.

You can still grab the app below, but it does require you have root access on the handset, so be advised.

Or, if you're using Cyanogen's latest ROMs, the feature is already built into the phone. It's under Settings > Wireless Controls > Internet Tethering.
