I cant get my internet to work!

Alright, ive had a t-mobile g1 for a while now, and love the phone, but i downloaded an app called quick settings to change phone settings quickly, internet options, gps, phone brightness, etc. The app stopped working and force closed every time i opened it so i uninstalled it. I now cant get onto the internet because before i deleted the app i had the internet turned off; and now without the app the internet is permanently off. i can access wifi but cant download the app on wifi in order to fix the problem. Ive gone through settings several times and cant find anywhere that will turn my 3g back on. Any help on how to get my 3g working again?

try doing a factory reset, just google it, I havent got a g1 to tell you how to do it or check your manual

also you could try to get your carrier to send you the setting by sms

Yeah ive decided to do that now.
i was hoping there was a way i could do it without losing my data but ive just spent ages writing down all my contacts on paper, and am gonna factory reset it.
T-mobile wont send me the settings; they suggested the factory reset too.
so thanks for your help.
If anyone else has the same problem just make sure youve got everything backed up, and take it to a t-mobiles store and get em to reset it. I did look online for the app to download to my phone from the computer but couldnt find anywhere that downloaded it to the computer so i dont think theres any websites that do that.
