Hi there,

I'm asking about the languages capability for Android, since I've decided to work on Android to support Arabic Language.

If someone has any knowledge to guide me, just let me know how Android deal with the language itself.

I am interested on this as well.
As I understood it, JAVA is capable of handling the UNICODE and that could possible supporting all languages out there. But at this point no one is doing it since G1 market is in the US only.

Please share your thoughts and perhaps your development.

Lack of a UNICODE font is a BIG problem for a phone.

Also Google search page for phone auto selects Vietnamese language which Android cannot render!

Can you change the font to UNICODE font
Can you change the default language on google search to English so that it can be read?

do letters connect in the browser and everything?

Anyhow I was wondering if anyone enable to create a language pack either for Arabic or other. I am interested in doing so.
