Impossible to reactivate background data

Hi there !

I don't know if I'm in the right forum to ask this, but let's give a try.

I have a problem with the "Background Data" (not sure of the translation, my system is in French) in the Synchronization menu. Indeed, I must have disable it once for some reason and since I can't bring it back up. Each time that I check the checkbox, it appears checked, and as soon as I come back in the menu, it's unchecked. I also tried with the "toggle" widget which enables to toggle wifi, bluetooth, gps and so on. But when I click on the synchronization button, it doesn't do anything...
When I do a logcat during the attemps to turn it on, only this line is displayed :

D/GTalkService( 1288): [GTalkService.1] logoutAllSessions

Well, this is kind of problematic since the market needs the Background Data to be activated in order to work.

I would like to know if you have a solution for that, without resetting entirely the phone.

I don't know if this problem is related to GTalk, but may it be possible to force the setting of the option via setprop or something like that ?

I've read that background_data is a secured property (http://developer.android.com/referen...ACKGROUND_DATA), so what would be the right API/method to set it ?
