Hey there everyone, this is my first post.

I was just wondering if anyone knew some tips for speeding up Android on my G1. I'm a savvy user and I pick up fast. I downloaded the System Monitor from the market and noticed that there a lot of background apps running all the time, but no way to close them down with the monitor.

The speed is not terrible but sometimes the desktop takes a minute to load or certain actions just seem to lag a little. I saw a thread about this here:

http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=21790

but I'm not sure how I feel about editing system files right away unless someone here could confirm, which file they are even talking about or if this even works.

Thanks

try downloading "MemoryForLemmings" or "MemoryUpPersonal". MemoryUp clears up RAM memory and Lemmings clears up Java.

Revert to an older version, root access using Telnet was lost in RC30.
