If you look in your text message history right now, anything sent before todays date says 2009. Looks like we have an issue.

Anyways had no idea where to put this so here ya go.

Actually, Anything that is on or after Dec 29th 2008 shows up as 2009. Dec 28th and older show up as 2008.

I reported this to the Android development team. Hopefully they will include a fix for this when an update is pushed hopefully this month.

Got the same bug too!! Damn it! I wish I asked a friend what the lottery results were on 31/12... could have had a winner for 2009! :P

It seams as though alot of devices are having this particular "Leap Year" bug. Fortunately the Microsoft Zune suffered a 1-day brick due to the New Year.
