Hi All,

I just got my G1 a couple of days ago, so this subject may already have been blogged before. I searched but couldn't find anything on this.

Here's my problem:
I go to an online (non secured) website to monitor my pet at home when I'm away from home.
On the old TMobile Dash, running Windows 6.1, I could view my cams (be it on a very small screen/resoluton).
When I got the G1 I installed all the video players available on Android market (Video Player, TuneWiki, PlaysVideo, and Meridain Video Player) to no avail.
The host/provider (I'm not very technical so I don't know the correct nomenclature) of the website I mentioned above, informed me that their App runs on Windows Mobile (6.1).

Is there anyone that knows a workaround so I can still view my cams on the G1?
Or is there any update to the G1 in the pipeline, allowing Windows Apps user to view streaming videos?

Also, what can I do to open mpeg E-mail attachements?
I'm not able to open video clip attachements either (was able too do so on the Dash).

Except for the coolness of having a touch screen phone with fast Internet access, I'm starting to regret having made the switch this fast.
Missing my Dash and it's functionality.

You have to do it from your phone.

If you want to download any of the 4 video players do the following:
  • On the Home screen tap on "Market"
  • In "Android Market" tap on 'Search'
  • On your keyboard type in 'video player', and tap 'search'
  • 4 results for "video player' will appear
  • Tap on each, scroll down and read the comments
  • decide which one you prefer, and tap "Install' at the bottom.
