I'm heavy on photo apps, so I'd recommend the following:

Instagram
PS Express (photo editing)
Qik Video Pro(you can upload and stream in real time)
Picplz
Loader (to upload photos to Facebook)
Picturizr (wacky photo editing app)

For offline navigation I love iGo (mind you it is not free)
If they are supported in your country, I would also recommend Waze which is a social navigation software (traffic is monitored by user automatic realtime reports - hence social...) which is free.
