well i got the g-1 a couple of days ago and im cool with everything but i wanna know if you can and HOW you could save text messages !

and a lil extra tip is there any way to set your text ringtone something different other then the deafult tones that are set on their ???!

Not sure about the saving, but to change your txt message tone you have to go into your messaging app, and do it under the settings there - NOT with the other tone options in the main settings app (notification/ringtone). I was stumped for awhile with this one, but now have my own txt sound chosen independant of the notification tone

Okay were gonna have to get real specific b.c I still can't find it ...

I go to messesging .. this is where my sms text messages are ...
I open the menu and I only get these options .... 1. Compose 2. Delete threads 3. Settings
I then go to settings .. I then get SMS - 2 setting options. MMs - 4 setting options ( sms mms options have nothing to do with ringtones .. then I get the last option NOTIFICATIONS - with ringtone vibrate and whatever ....

I still can't figure it out.... help if you can thanks ...

but for me there isnt any ringtones in the list other then the default ones ..... so how did you get your ring tones on there or mp3's ????????

Ah, to use anything other than the android default sounds download "Rings Extended" from the marketplace. It's free Sorry, i'd forgotten about that as I have it set as my default for choosing tones

Download the ringdroid and make you mp3's you ringtones for you texts and when you get calls.

yeah i did dl it ... and i have a ringtone i made as a phone ring tong but they dont show up in the list for the text messaging ring tone
