I haven't gotten my g1 in the mail yet, so I'm still trying to learn the ins and out by reading this forum and asking quiestions to be well equipped so when it does comw. Anyways, is the Android Market similar or on par with the iPhone Cydia? Cydia is a "market" like place where developers can upload programs, tweeks, utilities and other stuff to costumize your iPhone and all were free and you'd just download them and apply them through winterboard. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I just wanna know if the Android Market is sort of like that.

Yes the market is very similar. It has a bunch of free apps with a discription of it. It has user comments and ratings. All you have to do is tap install and you're done. When it is done installing it will let you know and thats it.

Yup queenk got it spot on.

All the apps on the Android Market are available to download free, until after Xmas i believe.

Once the free period is over developers will be able to charge for their applications and software.

Do you think that adobe is just waiting to release the flash so we all have to pay out the ass for it, or is it really still just not ready...?

As a guess, i would say it's probably not quite ready yet, i doubt Adobe are holding back to charge for it.
