Hi, Im really interested to know when and if Google intends to release Google Earth as an Application on Android.

I don't see why one would need the full Google Earth as an application. Google Maps is there and pretty much has alt the same functions.

hiking trails...that would be one reason you'd want google earth. They are only on there not on the regular maps.

GE could cache the map, but others could not. it's very important in the wild area.

For hikers and backcountry folks google earth is a must. Road maps just don't do it.
