This google gmail sync concept is all messed up. Why would Gmail force me to sync contact from outlook with it? THIS IS A BIG BOOLSHIT !!!

PLEASE DON'T BUY GADGETS WITH THIS STUPID SYSTEM ANYMORE !!!

BTW: GALAXY SPICA 5700 is the sh*tiest gadget i have ever seen (i own a new one - anyone interested in buying it? )!!!
Cheers

I am using WM6.1 . I rely heavily on contact , calender & Excel . Is there any means to convert all perfectly if I use Android?

Send a message via Skype™ to dnargsiefil
Gmail contact do not solve the issue of making outlook contacts obsolete , since they are not an equivalent to the outlook contact. If you, like me, know people in different parts of the world, you will run into issues with leading +1 converted from outlook. My droid X refuses to call them if I'm traveling out of my home area code.
Who is developing this stuff? Do you guys travel? :-( Also it does not send txt messages to these contacts when there is a leading +1.

I don't belief that I'm the only one having noticed this...

I have seen a bunch of reviews of the Droid X and was impressed by what it can all do... but some of these basic things were not mentioned anywhere I looked... :-(

MIQ Live was the easiest and free way to keep all my contacts and phone data...

Once you download the app you just import all you contacts into the account so they are always backed up and all contacts in one place to push to your phone. Best app out there for sync, backing up, or swapping phones.

I'm using WM since day one, but wanted to go away from it, as it's both buggy and another lousy Microsoft hang-often system.

I'm in the same fate, stucked!

Now my phone is due for a change (HTC Diamond)

Deciding Iphone 4 or Galaxy S? why developer's must leave some important features out on purpose?

Galaxy S sales person says it cannot sync with Outlook Contact and Calendar (such a basic requirement). I love it's tethering, Swipe and Live wallpaper.

Iphone 4 - heard from friends it can sync with Outlook Contact and Calendar (basic, but not complete), but no flash for internet and other host of Egoistic approach to loyal customer's feedback or cries.

Heard HTC Android's can sync with Outlook through their own software, but Samsung's Kies can't?

Now most probably getting the Iphone 4, but good to see fragile to handle.

Can someone help? I think Android got a bright future, but unfortunately, why it is so darn stupid to exclude a proper sync'ing softwares?

Something is seriously amiss in their marketing strategies!

I'm not really an Apply guy, especially with the way they handled the Antenna case, Egoistic guys, no wonder they do not listen to their loyal supporter's feedbacks!

I believe, except for task synchronization, everything is included in Android itself (at least I am OK with it on my G1)

For task synchronization I am using my SprinxCRM UniversalSync + Astrid + Remember The Milk.

Missing Sync for Android by Mark/Space will sync contacts, notes, calendar and several other categories. However it will not sync Tasks, though they say they are working on it. I have found it to be very buggy at present, but I think it will be a great program when they get it smoothed out. Right now, it will only sync once, then I have to reboot my computer to get it to sync the next time. I have reported this and they are working on it. Give them a shout and encourage them! www.markspace.com

You can find most sync solutions at www.syncdroid.net. They have a chart that lists the software, what it syncs (calendar, contacts, email, tasks, notes), whether it syncs with USB or wireless, if it autosyncs, the prices (many free) and even has an overview of the software. Its a good resource.
