Screen Protector for the touch screen?

Anyone know if the common screen protectors will work on the G1. Will I still be able to use the touch screen through it?

At this time you just have to buy the ones they make for the sidekicks...you gotta cut it for the right size..now what i did was I bought the package with the phone and the plastic that was already on the G1, I used that to get the perfect size for mine..yeah..pain in the ass but it works...

I bought Bodyguartz from fommy.com after checking another thread from this forum and its really nice. Its has 2 full body protector with anti scratch film and also come with some screen protectors. Nice one

I have always used scotch crystal clear packing tape on all of my phones as screen protectors. I currently have it on my G1 as well and it works perfectly (width wise it is exactly 2" wide...same as our screen)

3.00 a roll (give or take)
get about 300-400 uses out of 1 roll
each application lasts about 3-4 months but can certianly be replaced more often
lay it down on one end and use the edge of a credit card to smooth it down (absolutely no air bubbles) then trim the top and bottom carefully with an xacto knife


with the brand i specified above...it leaves little to no residue (occasionally i will use just a dab of goo gone on a cotton swab and clean where the edges were...no biggie
