Will It Be Possible to Upgrade to Android?

Once the Android platform/OS is available and officially release will i be able to install it on my current cellphone?

Or will it only be available pre-installed on the handsets manufactured by the open handset alliance?

First I don"t know if you mean for Android cell phone or for another cell phone (like your current cell phone).
If you mean for Android cell phone then answer is YES, you can upgrade yours cell phone. But if you think for another cell phone I think no. Because the structure of hardware is different.

Example: How you can not upgrade Symbian cell phone with Windows Mobile OS.

Just I saw that be possible put Android OS at the another cell phone. But not for every devices only for devices who fulfill minimum hardware standards.
