I used my alarm a time or two in the past without a problem and now it is not working. I can get it to vibrate, but not to sound audibly. How could something so simple cause me such a headache?

open the alarm, then open the alarm that you are using then click alarm sound and when it shows you all the choices of sounds press the volume rocker up and it should turn up the volume of the alarm then hit save and there you go best of luck buddy...

i've heard this as a common issue - is it really?

I was thinking of using the dock on my nightstand since i typically use my cell as my alarm anyway...

Not a good idea? If Droid.eris' fix works then i should be ok. Unless it keeps muting the audible alarm. I'm a light sleeper, but not so light that a faint buzz as it vibrates is likely to wake me at 5am!

I had this problem as well, and I feel a bit silly for not realizing that fix sooner. I assumed that the general volume would control the volume for the alarm as well. Is there a reason this happens? I don't recall ever turning the alarm volume on silent.

THANK YOU Droid.eris!!!!!! You don't even know how many peoples have this issue. We should buy a plane with banner or something to spread the word how to "fix" it. I'm so happy. My alarm wasn't working for about half year now =3 I searched through hundreds other forums and posts, and here we are. Thank you very much!
