Android Phones on the Horizon?

Has there been any official word on release dates or pricing for any upcoming android phone?

All i see m to be able to find are rumours and release periods of 12-24 months?

So who'scurrently working on the devices? HTC?, Qualcomm?

It's been well documented that HTC are preparing to release an Android powered device at some point during the year. We did expect to hear more from them about this earlier in the month, but sadly no Android announced has been made to date.

Samsung and LG are two other manufacturers that plan to unveil Android phones by the end of 2008.

I think, this summer that will be HTC Dream the first Android enabled phone to the market. And I thing the and of this year Samsung or LG, maybe Motorola also put own Android cell phone.

The "Dream" was just approved by the FCC and following was the release of the Android SDK 0.9. Looks like its aimed at the rumored October release.
