I am very disappointed in the way the Android G1 developers lied about the video player. When asked if they had one the man at the opening party said not to worry as they had a video player in the Android Market and showed a screen shot of it. I have looked everywhere for it and there is no such thing. I believe that lie was on purpose knowing that people buying the G1 would want a video player. That is the only reason why I refuse to buy it and will get the IPhone instead.

if your resorting to a iphone over the fact there is no video player in the market yet is ridiculous. You have to remember that the first 30days is free/free trial. So in due time some developer will be able to make a application for it. Why waste your money on Crapple?

Still do not excuse their lies at the launching party. Why has no one come out with a video player application when that is what almost everyone wants to see first than all those stupid GPS tag programs.

The application is obviously a 3rd party app, so why are you calling Tmobile/Android liars?

Instead of whining about something that's not available before the device's official launch date, how about you find out who the developer of the video app is and contact them to find out where their app is.

They showed it was in the marketplace application store and it is not there. That is a lie to fool people to buy it. They know everyone would want to know if it had a video player and it does not. Like many people we are very disappointed with this model not having much thought put into it especially being Android's first phone.

It's open source bro, I'm sure someone will have one up within a few weeks at the most. And nolatron's post speaks volumes.

I'm pretty sure theres already one avail, from the preview videos of tech news sites showing off the phone. And theres already support for video with out and application, just android hasn't offically released it, I would expect to see it in a month or two. But there won't be much of a reason for them to put it out, seeing as theres already a well designed one put together by a 3rd party.

A lot of people say this, but isn't the Touch HD a way more expensive handset? It's like $800-900 unlocked...
