You're right.But you know you're getting G1 at $170 in America,that's about 8,000 Indian Rupees.When G1 will be launched in India it will be priced at more than 20,000 INR i.e. $400.Apple iPhone is priced at 36,000INR,$600,while it costs around $300 in the USA.

Well to get the G1 at 179 in the states. You have to be a tmobile customer for atleast 24 months, and never used an upgrade discount. As well as sign up for a new 2 year contract.
The phones 400 here by itself.

Yeah, but even at $400 that's still half the price of the Touch HD. There must be a reason for that...

My budget is $1000 and I want to buy a laptop as well as a good smartphone in that limited budget.But I won't get a decent laptop if I spend about $400 on a phone.If I buy a e71 it would also cost me $400.And now I hear Nvidia's going to launch Tegra based devices,which have amazing battery power management,by the end of this year.I think I shouldn't buy any device now.Btw,3G services will start in second qaurter of next year.I think I shouldn't buy any devices till then.

Yeah, I'd just buy a laptop for $1000. To me, computers are more important than phones... and anyways there should be a ton of Android devices in the coming months/years.
