G1 preorders shipping starting tomorrow!

I went into the T-mobile store on yesterday and the sales representative informed me that T-mobile will start shipping out preorders on Wednesday October 15th which is tomorrow! This is for preorders prior to October 3rd.

I'm thinking T-Mobile will sent out emails once the handset has been shipped? Anyone heard anything yet?

No, they won't be -- if you look up the FAQ at their site, you'll see how to obtain tracking info -- the rumor seems to be correct though, tracking numbers are being issued: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436559

yes this is true on shipping date i have a confirmation on my order tracking through UPS.com i will have my g1 in hand tomarrow.

my tracking number says: "re-scheduled" for 10/21 my co worker tracking says: "3 day select" so why is he getting his before me when we both ordered ours the same day which was the first day it was available for pre-order?? and i ordered mine 2 hours before him. Im so irritated but i guess its only 3 days. i offered my co-worker $50 bucks to give me his phone and I'll give him mine on tuesday but he refused, do i dare give him $100 bucks?? yes people not only am I anxious to get my G1, Im willing to do anything to get it first on friday so i can have the whole weekend to play with it. haha I warned my co-worker not to come into work friday, cause I dont know whats gonna happen to him and I may have to beat him up for the phone j/k hahaha

Personally, I'd say you'd look back afterwards and think it was a dumb way to part with $50 ($100?!) -- why not order a spare battery and a 3.5mm headset adapter instead?! If you order now, it'll arrive around the same time as your G1

Well the thing is I stole $100 bucks from my Co-worker so I'd be just giving it back lol lol j/k I know I was just being dramatic cause I'm such a gadget freak, thi will be my 9th phone this year. I can't wait!!

anyone know when the second batch of pre-orders will ship? hopefully they pushed those shipments ahead too... its frustrating to think that as an existing customer upgrading I would have to wait till nov. 10th to get my phone when it's going to be sold in stores on the 22nd

well it depends on if you ordered the black or the bronze. the black is backorder with no eta. (just meaning they cannot give you an exact time when it will be generally availabe, except on case by case orders. I ordered the bronze which was still avail. at the time, just check UPS.com. the g1 is in route on truck today on local truck.......sweet.
