I'm looking for the best deal for an HTC Hero with unlimited internet - I'm not interested in phone or text. So it seems the phone provides unlimited internet itself but I don't understand how to calculate this.
* Is internet access provided by the HTC Hero directly via wifi? Fine when there's a local free wifi (like at home) but what about when I'm out?
* Is internet access provided by the network carrier? Most in UK don't seem to mention the cost of this apart from it's free with fair usage policy with a pay monthly contract, but I'm wanting to pay ~£5pm for mobile & text - what sort of internet cost would I then have to pay (for daily lightweight usage, ie not streaming video etc.)?
* Can anyone suggest a good deal? I'm considering a unlocked Hero from Amazon and a O2 "text&web" payg sim - should be ~£500 for 12 months.
