Video and Social Ringtones Coming Soon for Android: Vringo Seeking BETA Testers
Hello all.
The gang at Vringo have been getting near-daily requests to bring our social, video ringtone application to Android phones. We’re proud (and relieved — some of you guys have been aggressive!) to say that Vringo is finally on its way for Android.
We’ve built a custom version of our mobile application that allows you not only to take any content from anywhere to be your phone’s video ringtone, but also to be able to share it with your friends just by calling them.
(To give you an idea how it works, you could record a video of your band, your baby or -- what the heck? -- your grandma and set it as your video ringtone. Then, when you call a Vringo buddy, that video will pop up on their phone, sort of the opposite of a ringback. Trust us – it’s pretty cool.)
