It seems like every since more of the paid apps have come out it is becoming more and more of a task to decide what is worth downloading and what is not. I also particularly like the way some of the free apps now charge you upon update (cant you detect the sarcasm, ha ha). I know it takes work to make an app and I usually donate if the developer has a page for that, but I mean if it was free all along (not a trial) its kind of crappy to have to pay for it now...but I digress. That, said I would still rather pay for a good app then get ads....uggghhhh.
Also, I wonder if Google will start making every app for the iPhone that they make for the Android phones, I love my G1 and they keyboard but if the iPhone becomes fully Google friendly and the Android Marketplace doesn't improve, I really wouldn't be surprised if more people start going back to the iPhone. The plus is Android is supposed to get flash in some form, so that will be a plus for the G1, as will the updates when we actually get them.

First thing I think that for afree app you shouldn't pay for the update it's not fair.
I think that if the application is in another level with a better quality it's wort money.Probably these apps are with more quality and people invest alot of time in making these apps.

I would have to agree with you Nosferatuia. I also wish they would make another tab for free apps verse paid. What makes me mad is some lame app that someone has made, and then throws out another 6 like it (with different content) - like the joke ones, the DUMB shake me ones, and so on... that they want 2 plus bucks each for. What a stink, I wouldnt pay for any jokes, semi porn, or the same set of apps that should all be put together....even if I did want one, are they THAT dumb. Do they think they are going to strike it rich? I also wish that EVERY app had to be posted on the SAME website so everyone could check out all the apps to see (screen shots, graphics, info) on each app. I dont know how the iphone is, but I think the market needs a better market set up.
One thing I will say, that I do believe far better apps are on the way. The G1 hasn't been out that long, and you bet if those who make high quality apps think the markets slowing down for apps on the iphone, palm, or blackberry, they will be bringing their apps to the G1. I just hope it doesnt take to long that others turn away.

I agree with paying for good apps if need be. And I think that a separate tab for paid and free apps would be a good idea!

I don't mind paying for good apps...
I have a rooted G1 and I copy the .apk files of my paid apps to my sdcard and put them on my friends sdcards...
Therefore I pay for the apps and all my friends get the benefits of knowing me, lol...
Also, there are way too many noise/fart apps on the market and the developers are charging rediculous fees for these apps.

remember that you can "buy" it and try it out for 24 hours before you can decide to just uninstall it and ask for a full refund!

There's no way the iPhone is going to have the same apps. iPhone devs don't have the freedom that they do on Android. There'd be no ShopSavvy, as apple doesn't let devs access the camera. There'd be no Locale, because iPhone doesn't allow multitasking, so you can't have an app running in the background like that.
Apple would have to stop forcing their sense of style and cool on their customers, and that ain't gonna happen.
