How Much Will Android Phones Cost?

Ok so we all know the Android OS will be distributed freely at no cost, but just how far will the manufacturers in the Open Handset Alliance go and do you think they'll do the right thing and pass those savings onto the consumer?

Personally im thinking anywhere from $199 to $499

What do you guys think?

I think that's a little steep, i mean sure the major handset manufacturers will bring out all singing all dancing models at hefty prices initially. But i'd expect to see a lot of cheaper models running Android too.
