Picture message (mms) can't send Why ??

I have contacted T-mobile who went through all the settings etc it still won@t send pics they said might be the sim but I managed to send pics with the same sim on my old handset !! Is this a fault with the phone and if I go to factory settings will my phone go back to how it arrived in the box !!

First of all I'll try to answer "Why?". This may have happened by downloading a bad file or a corrupt app from the market. Now to try to answer "How?". The one absolute solution you'll be looking at is reseting your phone with a hard reset by going into Settings>>SD Storage & Phone Memory>>Restore factory settings. What this will do is completely delete everything and your phone will be as if you just unboxed it.

Is there a way to back up the contacts before hard reset? Or do i need to sync with google server?

I have everything synced with google in case I have to hard reset. I also pull out my SD card (I'm not sure if you need to do this but I did just in case). But if have all your files auto-updated. (Contacts, gmail, calender) they will reload once you hard reset. The draw back of course is any app downloaded will have to be redone. Not a problem, just remember that this will take 30 minutes of your time to redo. My extra email had to be reset, but anything on my SD card worked ok (even the ringtones) without the app being downloaded. Good luck

I just had the same problem after having my G2 for a week. T-mobile even ehanged the phone, since customer services was unable to help. I eventually worked it out though. When the phone is in WiFi mode, it seems to block the data connection needed to send/receive MMS. When I turn WiFi iff, it sends and receives fine. Very weird, and a major flaw if this is the case for other users.
