Yea so I downloaded the star wars theme ringtone from myxertones.com with my original browser and when the download was complete I clicked on the music icon and it played but for some reason the menu button does nothing there so I went into my "linda file manager" app and I couldn't find the file. After that I did the same thing with "steel" and I wnet into the file manager. The file was in the folder but it said that the music player won't play that format(it an mp3). Can anyone help me, please?

If you can connect your G1 to your PC/Mac and browse to where the file was downloaded, you will be able to find out if it is an mp3 or not. Ringtones need to be stored on your SD card under a directory called ringtones. I use the path /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones for ringtones and /sdcard/media/audio/notifications for SMS/Email/other notifications.

If you dont store your ringtones in a folder called "ringtones" your G1 will not be able to find the mp3 and assign it to a ringtone, crazy I know but this is how it works.

So, just to verify, should move the files I found in the steel downloads folder into my ringtones folder?
