Sorry your SD card is busy

I am trying to transfer Itunes tracks to my G1. The first
day it worked fine but today I a have tried 3 times (and spoke at length with TMobile to no avail) and I keep getting the message on my mobile
'Sorry your SD card is busy' PLEASE HELP as clearly I need lots of
songs on my mobile!

Hi David - i edited out your phone number from your best - not really a good idea to make that kind of personal information available on a public forum.

In regards to your question are you using a Mac or PC? and are you trying to sync your playlists with the G1 or actually transfer the files?

Thanks mate - laptop PC and transferring by dragging Itune sinto E area of mycomputer and then into Music folder. Thsi workd perfetcly fien on Wendesday and then ever sicne this daredn emssage alwats coimes up 'Sorry you SD card is busy'

Ok David.

Can't really find much information at all about the 'SD card busy' notification but it seems that it's quite common to receive strange error messages when trying to transfer files to the SD card.

Have you tried formatting the card? I might be inclined to back up any data you have on the card, give it a format and try again.

The fact you have previously got the music playing successfully shows that you've got the transfer process correct.

Are you transferring a lot of tracks at once? Try just dragging/dropping 1 track at a time.

I am having the same problem, but I don't have a memory card at all. I'm prety new with this phone so is it possible to put mp3 without a memory card?

Hey there, I am workin w/Droid & got same message after transferring songs to the storage card. When I started the operation, I had to choose "Mount" the storage card. sooo, I thought I needed to select "Turn Off" to unmount. This resulted in the error message "Sorry, the storage card is busy" and it showed us as "unavailable" on the settings menu.
THE FIX? I reconnected the phone to the PC and found the "USB" connection tab on the phone. Then, when I selected it, it gave me the option to "Mount" ... I did & waahlaahhh! My music became available on the phone once again.

I just went through this pain in the butt message trying to transfer music onto my Droid 2 Global from my PC. I finally realized that the message was happening because I was trying to view the songs on my phone while it was still connected to the PC. Once I unplugged the phone from the computer and then tried to access the music on my phone it was all there. I also took the SD card out and rebooted the phone. Hope this helps anyone else out there. I was about to toss this phone out the window.
