Hi,

Just got my G1 yesterday and loaded my Gmail account. havent downloaded anything else and storage is almost full.

How do move google mail to my 2gb sd card?

how can install apps to my memory card?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

You can't run any programs from the SD card, the OS won't let you at the moment. It's a concern I think will be dealt with at some point but we haven't been given any timeframe on that.

Do you have a lot of contact on your g-account? A lot of read/unread messages? You shouldn't be having storage problems... yet! Unfortunately, there is no way of saving and running apps form the memory card, but it WILL happen eventually. Tmobile realizes this is an extremely crucial problem and they are working on it.

well i use it for work - so around 250 - 300 emails a day! I have yet to add my personal email account.

Can other email accounts be stored on the memory card?

Here is one solution you can try

Go to "settings" on the main menu, choose "applications" followed by "Manage applications"

You can click the menu button to sort by size and see what is hogging most of your memory, if you are correct in your assumption it will be "google mail storage"

If it is you can select it and you will see a button called "Clear data". clicking this will clear your local cache for gmail.

You will need to wait a while for your phone to sync with the Gmail account, but at least it will free up some memory. Hope this helps
