Not sure why they have gone through the trouble of drawing a line through the part about the holiday season in the usa! Wouldnt have been easier not to write it???????

Yeah, I saw that. Although, honestly Android OS in itself is really a beta/development project. It isn't a 100% finished OS by any means. So it really isn't any different than the Cupcake branch of the software.
Great thing about being Open Sourced though. Lots of updates in the Cupcake bug are already available via the market. Check Chomp SMS for the onscreen keypad, or Steel for the auto rotating browser.
