Hi,
Firstly please excuse my ignorance...I'm a long time iPhone user and tonight is my first experience of the X10...
Anyway, my girlfrend's friend comes over tonight and says to me "hey can you transfer my SMS messages from my (rather) old Nokia E65 to my nice new SE Xperia X10?". "Shouldn't be a problem!" I naively say.
Looks like a nice phone at first glance by the way. However, can I find a way to transfer these damn SMSs to their new home...can I frick! Am I just being incredibly stupid here??
Ok, so firstly, no option to save/transfer even a limited amount of messages to the SIM from the N-E65 that I can see.
So my attention moves to the common use of a micro SD card - I figure that if I save the messages from the Nokia here then they may be detected when I install it in the X10. Not so it seems. Any particular directory/format that it accepts?
My next port of call is to try to use some method via bluetooth - well, I can get as far as exporting the messages to my laptop into *.csv format, etc. However I can't find a way to import this into the lovely new, shiny phone's memory.
Is there anyone out there that can offer assistance please? If it helps, I'm hoping that my reward will be a drunken flash of her fine 30E assets...although I'm maybe being a touch optimistic there!! A guy can live in hope...right!??
Many thanks
James
