MobileFun_Nexus_5_Cases_Pre-Order

The Nexus 5 hasn’t been announced yet, but that isn’t stopping one UK retailer from offering cases for the phone. MobileFun is offering two Cruzerlite Androidified cases for pre-order (clear and black) as well as two cases from Rearth Ringke (slim and fusion).

After adding any of the cases to your cart, the shipping date is revealed as October 23, which could be the actual date or most likely a placeholder. The Nexus 5 could be announced by then, but I am putting my money on the last week in October.

Cruzerlite Follows Up Recent Tease By Releasing Clone Army And Bugdroid Circuit Cases For The Nexus 4

by Roy Alugbue on
tagged , , ,

You remember how we showed you all a sneak peek of what Cruzerlite has in store for Nexus 4 smartphones? Well the famed smartphone case maker has followed up on its tease by unveiling a few set of Nexus 4 cases. The first set of cases are from its Bugdroid Circuit line which features a TPU material along with items like a laser-etched Bugdroid mascot on the back. The second set of cases are from its Clone Army line which also features some nice material surrounding the cases and a nice pattern of Androids taking up the back of the cases’ real estate.

Cruzerlite is certainly excited about both cases and has listed each for a reasonable $13 a pop— which is certainly welcome (and exciting) news. We know you Nexus 4 owners want more details, so go ahead and hit the source links below for more information. Go on… you know you want to.

CruzerLite teases upcoming Nexus 4 case

by Alexon Enfiedjian on

If you’re not happy with the protection that the official bumper case provides for your all-glass Nexus 4, you may be excited to hear that popular case maker, CruzerLite, is gearing up to release their very own Nexus 4 case. The company leaked this teaser shot of what we can expect, and as you can see it’s definitely a design geared toward the Nexus crowd, with microchip details engraved on the back. It looks as though the case has cut outs for all the buttons as well, meaning you wont have to press your buttons through the rubber, which is always a burdensome process. Everything is looking good so far! We’ll have to wait for more details from CruzerLite for now, but hopefully they’ll be releasing the case soon. Clumsy people everywhere, rejoice!

CyanogenMod And Cruzerlite Team Up On Android Cases

by Rudy Rivapalacio on
tagged , ,

One place where Android devices have always lagged behind iPhones has been in case and accessory selection. But as promised, by Dan Savage and countless other celebrity It Gets Better videos, it has gotten better. The success of  phones like the Galaxy SIII has made some accessory manufacturers develop Android specific lines. Today, Cruzerlite announced a limited edition CyanogenMod case for three of Samsung’s biggest Android Phones. The TPU cases are black and features, Cid, the CyanogenMod mascot who has definitely grown on me since they made the change back in April. Cruzerlite is taking pre-orders from now until early December and offering 20% off.

Cruzerlite Androidified Clone Army Nexus 7 TPU Case Review

by Ed Caggiani on
tagged , , , ,

Finding just the right case for my Nexus 7 has been a challenge. I’ve tried the effective and highly flexible, yet very bulky rooCASE, as well as the updated Ultra Slim rooCASE. Both of these serve their purposes well, with the Ultra Slim edging out the original due to its much slimmer profile.

But there is another class of case that I needed to check out. Currently, my phone is an HTC Evo 4G LTE and I’ve been using a Cruzerlite TPU case on that for a while and I love it. TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethane, which is a class of plastic that has many great properties for an electronics case, including elasticity, transparency, oil resistance, and durability. My Evo has never felt so protected.

So when I saw that Cruzerlite was making a TPU case for the Nexus 7, I jumped on it. After spending a couple of weeks using the case, I decided to write up a review with my thoughts. Hit the break for all the details.

Official CyanogenMod cases available for Nexus 5

cyanogenmod_caseCyanogenMod fans, you can now make your phones a little more CyanogenMod-y, provided you have a Nexus 5. The company has released cases for the Nexus 5, made by Cruzerlite, that come in four different colors – teal, clear, smoke, and black. They are made out of TPU material, which means they are abrasion resistant, have a high degree of transparency, are fairly stiff, but remain flexible.

The cases were designed by CM community member Asher Simonds, and you can find links to buy your own via the source link below.

TalkAndroid_Weekly_Recap

We had another busy week at TalkAndroid so here’s a recap of all the top stories. We had a lot of Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 Kit Kat news this week. We got a really good look at Android 4.4 from leaked screenshots, and just yesterday, a 7 minute video leaked showing off the phone along with an older version of Android 4.4. A few developers seem to think that both the Nexus 5 and Kit Kat will be announced this coming Tuesday. Speaking of Tuesday, it’s confirmed that the HTC One Max will be unveiled on the same day and the fingerprint scanner does a few more things than we thought it did. Samsung took the wraps off of the first smartphone with a flexible display, but is anyone excited about it? Kudos to Sony for coming out with a “mini” phone that has flagship specs, and Verizon is back to their marketing shenanigans again. It’s time to get caught up and get ready for another exciting week.

Review: Cruzer Lite’s Androidified Case for the Galaxy Note

by Stacy Bruce on
tagged , ,

After being such a huge fan of Cruzer Lite’s Androidified cases for the Galaxy Nexus I figured it was about time to wrap the Galaxy Note in one as well. I have tried many upon many a case for my devices and find I always favor the fit and finish of the TPU case from Cruzerlite. Not only do they fit perfectly, they provide just enough protection to keep your investment safe all the while reppin’ your favorite OS’ mascot, Andy. As you can see below, the Androidified case is the perfect way to show your undying affection for Android. The Android logo is emblazoned on each Androidified case in a stylish way that makes the case stand out from the rest. » Read the rest
