General Dynamics’ has been working on the future of battle technology and the heart of the GD300 is, you guessed it Android. The DG300 uses an unspecified version of Android and will be used in an arm or chest mounted design. The unit uses the SiRFstarIII chip and stubby quad-helix antenna and is MIL-STD 810G tested for durability. The guts of the system include a 600MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 256MB of memory, 8GB flash storage and a 3.5-inch, 800 x 480 “glove-friendly” and “sunlight readable” touchscreen display. I know I want one to replace my Droid :) More pictures after the break.
