HTC Desire HD spotted

No you’re not looking at the HTC EVOs long, lost cousin. What you’re seeing is the upcoming HTC Desire HD. Sporting a very EVO-like 4.3in screen and 1GHz processor, the only thing the HTC Desire HD appears to be missing (that it’s EVO cousin has) is a front-facing camera. The Desire HD will obviously come with Android 2.2, but beyond that, not much is known about the device.

    If you are right, why bother calling it “Desire” anything? The name implies some family looks are passed on from parent (HTC Desire). This bears no family likeness. Not to the Desire at least. Looks more like an Android version of the HTC HD, which a lot of people in the UK would like to see.

    I am not so sure about such a large screen.

    In the photo it does say 2.2 which one might assume is Android 2.2 – I don’t read Japanese.
