Facebook for Android recently got an update, which many people were in favor of. However, what they weren’t in favor of was the detrimental affect that the app had on their device’s battery life. Reports piled in not only in our inbox, but on the Android for Facebook’s Facebook page as well.
Since then Facebook has already responded to the problem and issued an update for the app, putting the version number at 1.3.1. So if you already downloaded the “new” Facebook for Android app, be sure to update it. Otherwise if you download it from the market now you’ll get the updated app, so don’t worry.
