For anyone that has been waiting on the Droid Incredible for the last month, your worries may finally be at an end. Verizon’s product page clearly states that the Incredible will be shipped by August 6th, only 2 days away from now. HTC was having trouble manufacturing the Incredibles because of a screen issue and at one point people had to wait almost a month before the phone even shipped. It looks like the issue has been resolved since HTC has switched from AMOLED to SLCD screens. The fact that the Droid X was just recently released probably made the demand for the Incredible less as well, which probably helped to fix the shipping issue.
Hopefully by the time Friday rolls around there wont even be a big red tag next to the Incredible, but I’m guessing that since people wont have to wait as long for the phone, this may not be the end of the shipment issues. Like the Droid X though, which you may have to wait almost 2 weeks just to ship, the issue will be demand and not screen problems. Hopefully when the next big Android phone comes out the manufacturers will have more available from the beginning. I wouldn’t expect it unfortunately. They still underestimate Android and the community that follows it.
