HTC have recently filed details of a new Android phone with the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Bluetooth SIG require that new Bluetooth devices are submitted to them in order to license the Bluetooth technology that goes inside the devices.
The document that was submitted by HTC references the Android platform in the certification, with the device codenamed as the HTC Fiesta.
To date there has been no mention of the HTC Fiesta handset, not even from the HTC 2009 line-up that was leaked a few months back.
HTC have confirmed that they plan to launch at least three Android phones in 2009, with the launch of their second Android phone, the HTC Magic, scheduled to launch next month in the UK.
The HTC Fiesta will be available in Asia, Europe, and North America.
